1 Day Reduction Linoprint workshop

This inspiring workshop will allow you to make a multi-colour print from one piece of lino..  This is a great way to explore the wonderful  process of colour reduction linocut.  This is a multi-colour relief printing technique that allows you to build up layers of colour from the same block in order to create an image.

You will be guided through the process of drawing up a design, working out colours and then printing the whole print by hand using the burnishing process with a Japanese print baren.  This is a process that you can use at home with minimal equipment.

You will also learn how to correctly register your print so that each colour sits accurately on top of the previous one.

At the end of the workshop you will leave with your own design as a 2-3 colour print ready to frame and hang on your wall.

And hopefully the desire to create more linoprints in the future!

Complete kits available for purchase at the workshop so that you can pursue linoprinting at home.
