Summer at Strawberry Fields

The artwork depicts a place that had a great influence on me, Strawberry Fields where my youngest sister lived before she died.  It was named after the Beatles song of the same name.  The colours reflect the heat of Summer and the sunflowers bring a burst of new life and hope

Autumn at the Lake

This artwork was created as a response to the landscape in the area in which I live.  The lake refers to Daylesford Lake around which I often take a walk.  The area is quite beautiful and lush with flora and fauna, including black swans swimming on the lake.  The painting is made up of layers and layers of images as a reference to the layering of the landscape.

Winter on the Plains

Winter was developed from drawings completed at Kings Plains a place not far from Inverell.  The trees, although dormant at the time, still are quite beautiful and I have tried to show the details of the fine branches.  The colours are the colours of Winter.  This is one of my favourite paintings.

Spring at Hallsville

This painting is about the property which was once my family home.  Many weekends since leaving home were spent visiting and it became very familiar to me.  The painting is made up of layers and layers of images, the background is very similar to old lace which is a reference to family memories.
